Movies to Look Forward to in June 2026

So far, 2026 has given us some incredible cinema outings, from Project Hail Mary to Obsession, but is the best yet to come? June holds some massive names and likely some of the year's biggest box-office hits. This is what to look forward to in the coming month.

The Amazing Digital Circus: The Last Act - June 4

image

The Amazing Digital Circus has had a real underdog story in their come-up. To go from a YouTube series reaching upwards of 100 million views per episode, to being picked up by Netflix after just 3 episodes, to then have the final episode release worldwide in cinemas, is really a sight to behold.

This movie combines the already released Episode 8 with an hour-long Episode 9 to conclude this series once and for all. With Caine gone and the circus plunged into darkness, the rest of the cast is forced to confront their past traumas, uncovering the dark secrets of the circus's history. They'll face their ultimate fates as the possibility of 'eternity' closes in.

Scary Movie 6 - June 5

image

Every Line Will Be Crossed.

The Wayans brothers return after 25 years and 3 borderline bootlegs to finally create a third, genuine Scary Movie sequel. Spoofing horror movies such as Get Out, Terrifier, Smile, The Substance, Weapons, Sinners, and so many more, this franchise has returned in full swing and does not intend on holding back.

Scary Movie 6 includes a return from many of the original main players - the Wayans brothers, Anna Faris, and Regina Hall - intending to bring fans all the way back to 2001.

Masters of The Universe - June 5

image

Only One Can Have The Power.

Masters of the Universe is a modern adaptation of the iconic '80s character of He-Man. Set in the modern day, this follows Prince Adam (Nicholas Galitzine) after he has spent the majority of his life on Earth. He is then reunited with the Sword of Power and led back to his home planet of Eternia, which he discovers is under the rule of Skeletor (Jared Leto). To save his world, Adam joins forces with his closest allies, Teela (Camila Mendes) and Duncan (Idris Elba), embracing his true identity as He-Man - the most powerful man in the universe.

I can't imagine many have hope for this movie. It seems to have drained most of the life from this fantastical world to add realism and modernity, trying - and likely failing - to cater to an older and wider audience.

Office Romance - June 5

image

It's going down.

Office Romance follows Jackie (Jennifer Lopez), President and CEO of Air Cruz. She loves her job, is tough with her employees, and has a rigid anti-fraternisation policy. When Daniel (Brett Goldstein), a new lawyer, begins working for her, she struggles to keep up with this policy.

This seems like quite a generic power-dynamic rom-com with two people attempting to stick to a professional relationship, while that is constantly being tested. I'm sure that, despite its simplicity, this will be plenty of fun.

Carolina Caroline - June 5 (USA Only)

image

Two Lovers. One Wild Ride.

Carolina Caroline follows a young woman who skips town in search of her estranged mother. She is joined by a con man on the run from the law, both eventually becoming a Bonnie and Clyde-esque duo, leaving a wave of crime and passion behind them as they traverse the southeast.

With stars such as Samara Weaving (Ready or Not, The Babysitter) and Kyle Gallner (Jennifer's Body, Smile), this is sure to be as gory as possible, with a few interesting moments. This has been receiving incredible reviews, debuting with 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, 7.1 on IMDb, and 3.5 on Letterboxd.

Disclosure Day - June 12

image

All Will Be Disclosed.

Disclosure Day centres around a planned global event during which various whistleblowers intend to reveal undeniable proof of extraterrestrial life on Earth, as well as the race against 'shadowy forces' intent on keeping that secret. This explores how humanity as a whole would react to evidence of life on other planets. Does the world have the right to know the truth?

Starring Emily Blunt (Oppenheimer, The Devil Wears Prada), Josh O'Connor (Challengers, La Chimera), Colin Firth (Kingsman, The King's Speech), and Colman Domingo (The Running Man, Sing Sing), directed by Steven Spielberg (Jurassic Park, ET), with a script from David Koepp (Spider-Man (2002), Mission: Impossible) and a score from John Williams (Star Wars, Harry Potter) this is nearly guaranteed to be a hit and one of the most beloved movies of the year.

Stop! That! Train! - June 12 (USA Only)

image

The greatest trainwreck in herstory.

Stop! That! Train! follows two train stewardesses, Tess (Jujubee) and DeeDee (Ginger Minj), trading their miserable shifts on the 'Stank Rail' for the glamorous 'Glamazonian Express'. When a catastrophic 'stormaganza' threatens to derail this high-speed train and crash it into Los Angeles, the duo in coach must join forces with the snobby first-class attendants and President Gagwell (RuPaul) to save the day.

If you couldn't already tell from the synopsis, this movie intends to be very camp. Directed by Adam Shankman (Hairspray, Disenchanted), I'm sure this will be a lot of fun and do very well with its intended audience, though I can't see it breaking out into the mainstream.

The Death of Robin Hood - June 19 (USA Only)

image

He Was No Hero.

The Death of Robin Hood is a twisted retelling of the classic Robin Hood tale. This reimagines Robin Hood not as a noble hero for the poor, but a vengeful, regretful murderer. Grappling with his past after this life of crime, Robin Hood (Hugh Jackman) finds himself gravely injured after a battle, which he thought would be his last. To his surprise, a mysterious woman offers him a chance at salvation.

This is very reminiscent of The Northman (2022) in its barbaric setting and action. This has a star-studded cast, containing the likes of Hugh Jackman (Prisoners, Logan), Jodie Comer (28 Years Later, The Last Duel), and Bill Skarsgård (Nosferatu, IT) - all perfectly suited for a movie like this. This is directed by Michael Sarnoski (A Quiet Place: Day One, Pig), so it's likely to explore many dark places that others wouldn't, which seems to be paying off with its 7.3 rating on IMDb.

Toy Story 5 - June 19

image

Playtime meets screentime. Enter the new era.

Toy Story 5 continues the legacy of Buzz and Woody, bringing them into the age of technology. When Bonnie receives a 'Lilypad' tablet as a gift and becomes obsessed, it's Buzz, Woody, Jessie, and the rest of the gang's job to keep her attention. With the rise of these tablets, the life of a toy is becoming exponentially harder.

This features a return from the original cast - Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack - as well as the addition of Greta Lee as Lilypad, Conan O'Brien as Smarty Pants, Craig Robinson as Atlas, and Shelby Rabara as Snappy.

Voicemails for Isabelle - June 19

image

Sometimes the universe leaves you a message.

Voicemails for Isalbelle follows Jill (Zoey Deutch), who's struggling to cope with the death of her sister, Isabelle. As part of her grieving process, she leaves vulnerable, confessional voicemails on her old phone number, talking in detail about the chaos of her own life. What Jill doesn't know is that this phone number has been reassigned to Wes (Nick Robinson). As he listens to these messages, he finds himself falling for her, without ever seeing her face.

Starring Zoey Deutch (Set It Up, Everybody Wants Some!) and Nick Robinson (Love, Simon, Jurassic World), this is likely to succeed in the emotions it's trying to convey, even if it may dip into the 'generic romcom' pool at times.

Supergirl - June 26

image

Truth. Justice. Whatever.

Supergirl is the second cinema release in James Gunn's new DCU, which looks quite promising. Based on Tom King's 8-issue Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, this follows a hardened Kara Zor-El (Milly Alcock) whose early life was ruined by the destruction of her home planet of Krypton. She later teams up with a young alien named Ruthye (Eve RIdley) on an interstellar mission for vengeance.

While this is based within the same universe as 2025's Superman, this looks to be taking a very different, much darker approach. This movie aims to show the truth behind Krypton and its destruction, as well as expand this universe way past Earth.

The Invite - June 26 (USA Only)

image

It'll be fun.

The Invite follows Joe (Seth Rogen) and Angela (Olivia Wilde), a married couple whose marriage is on thin ice. They try to revitalise their struggling relationship by hosting a dinner party for their mysterious, uninhibited upstairs neighbours, Hawk (Edward Norton) and Pina (Penelope Cruz). In doing so, their night soon spirals into unexpected places.

This looks like a mix between drama and comedy, being both a more serious role for Seth Rogen and a more comedic role for Edward Norton, which we don't often see much of from either. It looks to be paying off, with its 91% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, 6.3 on IMDb, and 4.1 on Letterboxd.

Little Brother - June 26

image

An Uncomfortably Touching Comedy.

Little Brother follows a well-known real estate agent, whose carefully curated world is plunged into chaos when his lovably eccentric former 'little brother' from a childhood mentorship program unexpectedly reappears and begins to ruin his life.

This stars comedians John Cena (Ricky Stanicky, Heads of State) and Eric Andre (The Eric Andre Show, Bad Trip), so it is likely to be very funny, if often quite childish and absurd.
