The End of Oak Street is one of the only big movies released in August, releasing alongside Coyote vs Acme, One Night Only, and Ridley Scott's The Dog Stars. After a long drought of dinosaurs wreaking havoc along regular city streets - or at least interesting adaptations of that idea - David Robert Mitchell took up the responsibility and delivered exactly what we were looking for.
Robert Mitchell excels within a mystery. From 2014's It Follows, framing sexually transmitted diseases as a monster constantly, slowly chasing you, to Under the Silver Lake, in which the audience is taken further and further down a rabbit-hole conspiracy for 140 minutes, there was truly no better director to give us this mystery of dinosaurs suddenly roaming the Earth.
While The End of Oak Street leans much more into its action than mystery, this is no less intriguing. This is the director's first dip into a full action movie, picking up the pace tenfold from his other films, and it feels completely natural, blending this mysterious, cosmic concept with some simply just incredibly fun action sequences. Robert Mitchell manages to keep you on the edge of your seat until the credits roll.
What is The End of Oak Street?

The End of Oak Street follows the Platt family, led by Anne Hathaway's Denise and Ewan McGregor's Greg Platt, during a difficult time. Greg is struggling to find any stable income and is forced to take on many odd jobs, leading him to miss important moments of connection with his family, putting a strain on his marriage.
Suddenly, the Platts witness an enormous flash of light in their backyard before realising they've been invaded by dinosaurs. It turns out, the entirety of Oak Street switched places with a patch of prehistoric land, bringing them back to the past.
The Platt family must come together, not only to survive as their neighbourhood is being ravaged, but also to try to escape this hellish new reality. We come to find that portals are beginning to open all around Oak Street, allowing this family to return to normality, yet they must bring the whole family with them.
What Locations Can I Visit From The End of Oak Street?
Oak Street Exteriors - Atlanta, Georgia

While this is set in the fictional town of Flowervale, Michigan, we see Atlanta suburbs in many exterior shots. Atlanta has quickly become a major filmmaking hub, creating the perfect environment for quiet suburban neighbourhoods with spacious lawns, such as Oak Street.
The Atlanta suburbs used include Wisteria Lane, Dover Court SW, Howell Drive SW, Westwood Avenue SW, Erin Avenue SW, and Manford Road SW.
The exact location of the Platt family's home is 4009 Wisteria Ln SW, located in Wisteria Gardens, Atlanta and Mrs Huddleston's - the Platts' neighbour - house is located at 3790 Dover Court SW. As this is a regular neighbourhood, these locations would be easy to visit, though make sure to be respectful of this suburb if you do go.
The Neighbourhood Party - Brook Street SW

The neighbourhood party, specifically the cul-de-sac with the grassy roundabout, was filmed on Brook Street SW. This is only down the road from the aforementioned Wisteria Lane, so it would be just as easy to visit in the same trip.
This scene creates a backdrop of an idyllic '80s suburban neighbourhood, perfect for this movie to rip to shreds once it introduces its dinosaurs. We also see the beginning of Denise and Greg Platt's marital problems here.
Platt Home Interior - London, England

Don't get excited if you live in the UK, there's nowhere you're able to visit that's used in the movie. London was simply where the home interior sets were built, and where much of the VFX was shot.
Much of this movie, at least the first act, is set in the Platt family home, making these interior sets a big part of this. There is no official report on where in London these moments were filmed, though it was likely one of its many production studios.
